Developers Changed Again At Dead Island 2

In July 2015, Koch Media and Deep Silver announced that Yager (Spec Ops: The Line) will no longer be responsible for the development of Dead Island 2. In March 2016, Sumo Digital was confirmed as the new developer.

Since then we have not heard anything about the project. Deep Silver has stated from time to time that the development has not stopped, but that’s about it.

Maybe there was a change of developer again. In a now-deleted tweet, former Dead Island 2 developer Jan David Hassel (Yager) said, “Supposedly it’s Deep Silver Dambuster now? I kind of lost track of that after taking it away from Yager. “

Will Dead Island 2 be developed by Deep Silver’s Dambuster studio? This is not confirmed, but the studio is upgrading. It is looking for staff for an established AAA franchise and it is from the Unreal Engine 4 and the sandboxing genre talk.

That could be a match for Dead Island 2, but also for a new Homefront game, for example. Dambuster has developed “Homefront: The Revolution”.
