Game Director Of Pillars Of Eternity 2 Takes A Break

For two weeks, the role-playing game Pillars of Eternity 2 from Obsidian Entertainment is available in stores. The responsible Game Director Josh Sawyer has announced in his blog that he needs time for himself and will, therefore, take a break. Already before the rumors came that Sawyer would suffer from burnout and would withdraw after the release of the game for some time.

The rumors of a burnout are not confirmed, but it is clear that he will not be involved in the development of additional extensions for “Pillars of Eternity 2”. Sawyer writes in the blog that he has been in the gaming industry for 19 years, and spent the past six years exclusively developing the “Pillars of Eternity” series.

For the next project, the experienced Game Director wants to reorient, but before that happens, he must work on something that has nothing to do with his position as a game developer.
