Gameplay Video To Phoenix Point, XCOM Gets Competition

The turn-based tactical game “Phoenix Point”, which originates from the head developer of “XCOM: UFO Defense”, will be featured in the video.

Snapshot Games (“Chaos Reborn”) is currently working on the turn-based tactical game “Phoenix Point”. Julian Gollop, the head developer of “XCOM: UFO Defense” from 1994, is one of the party. He leads the project. Julian Gollop was now on the PC Gamer Weekender 2018 and presented the latest build (see video). “Phoenix Point” should appear at the end of 2018 for the PC.

“Phoenix Point” is similar to “XCOM” in the scenario: You fight against an alien threat that was released by a virus. By 2057, mankind was already decimated. The last humans live in enclaves. 80 to 90 percent of the game time is spent on tactical battles. Otherwise, operations on the world map are planned. Basic and personnel management as well as improvements and modifications of the soldiers are also included.
