Take-Two and 2K Games and the NBA have announced an extension of their license agreement for the “NBA 2K” series. Officially, it is an important, multiyear extension of the global partnership.
One figure was not mentioned, but the usually well-informed Wall Street Journal reports that Take-Two will pay $ 1.1 billion to the NBA and its players’ union over seven years.
This information is attributed to a source that is said to be aware of the business. That’s more than twice what Take-Two paid for the license agreement in 2011. This is probably because the “NBA 2K” games now generate significantly more sales.
