Super Smash Bros. will be released this year exclusively for Nintendo Switch. These and many other good news came in the current Nintendo Direct issue.
Nintendo has more than a dozen novelties in the livestream for both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 2DS & 3DS family. Also featured were numerous titles from publishers such as SQUARE ENIX, Capcom, Grasshopper Manufacture, From Software and Ubisoft.
NEWS FOR NINTENDO SWITCH
“Super Smash Bros.”: Fans of the Super Smash Bros. series had special reason to celebrate: The next part of the series will be released in 2018 for Nintendo Switch. The announcement trailer featured many familiar faces, including Mario, Link, and the Splatoon Inklinge.
New single player mode for “Splatoon 2”:This summer, “Splatoon 2” players can purchase the paid download “Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion”. He extends the game to a completely new single player mode.
The Nintendo Switch fans take on the role of Agent 8, a female octoling without memory. They fight through 80 missions, immersing themselves in a story that sheds new light on particularly popular game characters.
If you play through the new mode, you can also play the multiplayer color battles as octoling. “The Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion”, although it only appears in the summer, can already be bought in the Nintendo e-shop for 19.99 euros. At the time of purchase, players will receive cool Okto gear that instantly equips their pawns.
Extensive “Splatoon 2” update: In April, before the expansion, there will be an extensive, free update for “Splatoon 2”.
The upcoming version 3.0 contains more than 100 new equipment items as well as other arenas that will be released during the spring, including the Steinköhler Mine, the Camp Schützenfisch and the Flounder Funpark. On top of that, a new, extremely high rank is introduced: in rank X, there is still a tougher track than at S +.
Livestream of the Splatoon European Championship: After months of intense online and offline battles, Europe’s best “Splatoon 2” fighters compete against each other on March 31st. The main stage of the Polymanga in Montreux, Switzerland, is about the title of European Champion.
On top of that, the fans can experience a virtual concert by Perla and Marina, the in-game pop duo Tentacool. Anyone who can not travel to Montreux will still have the opportunity to see both events, the European Championship Final and the concert, through the Nintendo Twitter and YouTube channels.
“Mario Tennis Aces”:Mario fans rushing into this colorful tennis tournament with the well-known characters from the Mushroom Kingdom have at their disposal a whole arsenal of punches and strategies. Up to four players in multi-player mode – provided they have the right accessories – can deliver exciting matches via the local or online connection.
Add to that the story mode with creative boss battles. “Mario Tennis Aces” is one of the most comprehensive Mario sports games that Nintendo has released so far.
The intense and intuitive gameplay allows competitions in the living room, outdoors and anywhere you want to take Nintendo Switch. In real mode, the characters can be controlled on the screen by swinging the Joy-Con like real tennis rackets. The game will be released June 22 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Mario Tennis Ace’s Pre-Launch Online Tournament: Nintendo will soon be inviting all Mario fans to a free Mario Tennis Aces pre-launch online tournament. Details will be announced. In the demo, players can deliver online matches before the launch. If you want to participate, just download the demo from Nintendo eShop to your Nintendo Switch.
“Kirby Star Allies” : cult star Kirby celebrates its premiere on Nintendo Switch on March 16th. In the Kirby Star Allies Jump & Run adventure, players step into dream palaces, where Kirby turns his most beloved hero into a dream-dad. From time to time free updates provide for more dreamlike friends.
The first of these updates comes on the 28th of March and enriches the game with the classic characters Max and Gooey and the hero wars Rick & Kine & Coo. A free demo version of this exclusive Nintendo Switch title is available at Nintendo eShop.

“Octopath Traveler” : Game Producer Masashi Takahashi of SQUARE ENIX has released new role-playing details in its Nintendo Direct video section, including the final name: “Octopath Traveler.” In addition, he introduced two other main characters – Tressa, the dealer, and Alfyn, the pharmacist, – as well as the ability to assign each character several professions.
“Octopath Traveler” launches on July 13 – also exclusive to Nintendo Switch. The same day the “Octopath Traveler” appears: Traveler’s Compendium Edition, a special edition of the game. It contains a stylish pop-up book, a very useful map for the adventure, and a replica of a coin used in the game.
“Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker” : Originally released for Wii U, “Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker” now also lands on Nintendo Switch on July 13th. The improved version surprises with new stages based on the different countries from “Super Mario Odyssey”.
In addition, friends and family can embark on an adventure together by sharing a Joy-Con couple. One manages Captain Toad, the other supports him, for example by giving him fire protection. “Crash Bandicoot” storms on Nintendo Switch : On July 10, the “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” for Nintendo Switch. It lures with three completely reworked versions of the first three “Crash Bandicoot” titles.

“Okami HD” : All Nintendo Switch friends can look forward to a magnificent as well as ethereal remake of the action adventure classic “Okami”. In the Nintendo Switch version you can swing the Divine Brush in handheld mode via touchscreen. In table and TV modes, they use the motion-controlled Joy-Con. The game, which defeats opponents and solves puzzles, will be available at Nintendo eShop this summer.

“Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido” Originally announced at E3 2017 Nintendo 2DS & 3DS appears “Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido” now available for Nintendo switch. The players devour sushi on the conveyor belt and collect matching plates to throw at their opponents.

“WarioWare Gold” : The crazy “WarioWare” series is back. On July 27, she will launch “WarioWare Gold” for the first time – and exclusively – on the mobile consoles of the Nintendo 2DS & 3DS family. Among the 300 fast-paced mini-games are classics as well as completely new fun.

“Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers” : Action meets Tower Defense in this all-new title. Players assume the role of Rangers Dillon, who team up with the player’s Mii characters and his friends. Because Dillon is an armadillo, it is only right that the Mii appear here in their animal version.
Only together can they stop enemy invaders and save their post-apocalyptic world from its final demise. “Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers” for Nintendo 2DS & 3DS will be available from May 25 at retail and Nintendo eShop.
“Master Detective Pikachu” : Today, the Nintendo eShop pre-sale for this new thriller adventure with the self-proclaimed super-nose Pikachu. The game will be released on March 23 for Nintendo 2DS & 3DS. On the same day, an extra-large master detective Pikachu-amiibo comes on the market.
