Nintendo Wants To Release More DLCs For A Longer Gameplay

Nintendo wants to provide more download content and in-game events to keep players on the ball longer.

Nintendo is probably looking more and more for “Games-as-a-Service” because the company wants its own games to be played longer. This is to be achieved by more DLCs, where Nintendo has recently published new content for titles such as “ARMS”, “Splatoon 2” or “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”.

Also in-game events and similar things should keep the players happy. “In order to promote longer gameplay for individual software titles, we plan to implement even more downloadable content and events that add excitement to the games,” said Nintendo President and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima
