At the PDXCON 2018 in Stockholm Paradox Entertainment announced the next big hardcore strategy game. However, this is not the much speculated “Victoria 3”, but the PC title “Imperator: Rome”. The title is the successor to “Europa Universalis: Rome” and is due to be released in spring 2019.
In keeping with the announcement, Paradox presents a first trailer for “Imperator: Rome”. The plot stretches from the glory days of Athens to the founding of the Roman Empire four decades later.
The developer promises characters with different characteristics and abilities that change as the story unfolds. Similarly, there should be diverse populations that have different cultures and religions and tackle battles in different ways. Trade and investment in buildings and roads will again play an important role.
