The remake of “Resident Evil 3” has sold significantly worse than “Resident Evil 2”, but Capcom apparently hardly expected anything else.
As part of the announcement of its business figures, Capcom recently confirmed that the remake of “Resident Evil 3” has sold 2.7 million times so far, which is significantly fewer than the remake of “Resident Evil 2”.
Still, Capcom seems to have expected these sales figures.
In a Q&A with investors, Capcom said about the sales of the “Resident Evil 3” remake: “Even with regard to the sales trends for the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the results have not deviated particularly from our internal sales plan in the future we will consider pricing strategies geared towards the holiday season, which starts in the fall and runs through the end of the year. ”
